Prayer Points
Father, I declare Matthew 16:18 over the Church — You are building it, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it. I pray for the global Church: persecuted believers in closed nations, thriving congregations, and struggling fellowships alike. The whole body is Yours and You have not abandoned any part of it, in Jesus' name.
Lord, Ephesians 5:27 reveals Your intent for the Church — that it should be without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, holy and blameless. I pray for purity in Your Church: for repentance where sin has taken hold, for restoration where leaders have fallen, and for the holiness that comes from genuine encounter with You, in Jesus' name.
Father, Jesus prayed for the unity of His followers in John 17:21 — that they would be one as He and the Father are one, so the world would believe. I pray for genuine unity in the body of Christ: across denominations, races, nations, and generations. Let the world see our love and believe (John 13:35), in Jesus' name.
Holy Spirit, pour out the revival of Acts 2 in our generation — let believers be filled with holy boldness (Acts 4:31), let wonders and signs confirm the preaching of the gospel, and let thousands be added to the Church daily as they were in Jerusalem. Let this be our generation's defining spiritual moment, in Jesus' name.
Lord, Revelation 22:17 records the Spirit and the Bride saying 'Come' — let the Church be a bride actively longing for and working toward the return of the King. Let us not be so settled in this age that we lose the posture of anticipation. Maranatha — come quickly, Lord Jesus, in Jesus' name, Amen.

Why should I pray for the Church as a whole?
1 Corinthians 12:27 describes believers as the body of Christ — if one part suffers, all parts suffer with it. The health of the global Church affects every local expression of it. Praying for the Church is interceding for the primary vehicle through which God is redeeming the world — it is some of the most strategically important prayer you can offer.
How do I pray for a church I am not part of?
You can pray for any part of the body of Christ with confidence — it is all one body. Pray for revival, purity, effective witness, unity, and care for the poor and vulnerable. You can also pray specifically for persecuted Christians worldwide, for whom Hebrews 13:3 instructs us to remember as if imprisoned ourselves.
