Prayer of Worship — 5 Scripture-Based Prayer Points
Worship is the natural response of a heart that has encountered who God truly is. These prayer points move through Scripture's portrait of God — His holiness, His worthiness, His majesty — as acts of adoration, not requests.

Prayer Points
Father, I come before You now in worship — not with a request but with adoration. You are the LORD my maker (Psalm 95:6), the one in whose hands are the depths of the earth and the heights of the mountains. I bow before You not out of obligation but out of the overflow of knowing who You are, in Jesus' name.
Lord, Revelation 4:11 declares: 'You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honour and power — for You created all things, and by Your will they were created and have their being.' I echo that declaration now. You are worthy before I see a single answer to prayer. Your worthiness is not conditional on my circumstances, in Jesus' name.
Father, John 4:24 declares that You seek worshippers who will worship in spirit and in truth. I offer that kind of worship now — not performance, not ritual, but genuine encounter from my innermost being. Let my worship reach You as a sweet aroma (Revelation 5:8) and let it be the kind that heaven recognises, in Jesus' name.
Holy Spirit, lead me into true worship — as Psalm 100:4 instructs, I enter Your gates with thanksgiving and Your courts with praise. Let gratitude be the doorway into adoration, and adoration the doorway into Your glory. I do not want to just pass through the outer court; lead me into the holy of holies, in Jesus' name.
Lord, let worship become the pattern of my life — not a Sunday exercise but a daily reality. Let me be one of the worshippers Your Father is seeking (John 4:23), offering You the sacrifice of my attention, my affection, and my allegiance every day. You deserve nothing less than everything I am, in Jesus' name, Amen.

What is the difference between praise and worship?
Praise tends to focus on what God does — His acts, His benefits, His faithfulness. Worship focuses on who God is — His nature, His character, His eternal worthiness. Both are valuable. Psalm 150 calls for praise of God's acts and His excellent greatness. John 4:23-24 describes worship as spirit-and-truth encounter with God's person.
How do I worship God in prayer?
Start by setting aside requests. Open with adoration — speak directly to God about who He is, not what you need. Use Scripture to describe Him: His names (Jehovah Jireh, El Shaddai), His attributes (holy, faithful, all-knowing), His works (creation, redemption, sustaining grace). Many of the Psalms (especially 145-150) are pure worship models.
