Praying for your mother is a way of returning honour through intercession. Whether she is still carrying many responsibilities or entering a quieter season of life, these prayers focus on her wellbeing as a person — her health, wisdom, strength, peace, honour, and the grace to enjoy the fruit of what she has poured into others.

“Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.”
Proverbs 31:28 (KJV)
Father, I rise and call my mother blessed in the spirit of Proverbs 31:28. Thank You for every sacrifice I saw and every one I never knew about. Let honour come back to her in words, care, respect, and tangible support. Where she has felt overlooked or taken for granted, remind her that You have seen every labour of love (Hebrews 6:10), in Jesus' name.
Lord, strengthen my mother's body and renew her health. Psalm 103:2-5 says You heal diseases, redeem life, and renew youth like the eagle's. Give her wisdom for medical care, rest, nutrition, and the practical choices that sustain wellbeing. Let her days be marked by strength to enjoy life, not merely endurance through it, in Jesus' name.
Father, continue to increase my mother's wisdom. Proverbs 31:26 says she opens her mouth with wisdom and the law of kindness is on her tongue. Let the years she has lived become a reservoir rather than a burden — give her discernment for decisions, grace in family relationships, and a voice that builds rather than carries anxiety, in Jesus' name.
Holy Spirit, give my mother peace in every season of transition. Isaiah 46:4 says You carry Your people even to old age and grey hairs. Carry what she can no longer carry alone. Free her from fear about children, finances, health, or the future, and let Philippians 4:7 guard her heart and mind with peace beyond understanding, in Jesus' name.
Lord, I ask for the fulfilment of Psalm 91:16 over my mother according to Your wisdom — satisfy her with long life and show her Your salvation. Let her years be meaningful, protected, connected, and fruitful. May she see good in her family, enjoy the honour due to her, and finish her assignment with joy and faith intact, in Jesus' name, Amen.

Pray specifically for strength, wise medical care, rest, and peace rather than treating longevity as a guarantee. Psalm 103:2-5 is a healing and renewal prayer; Isaiah 46:4 speaks of God carrying His people through old age; Psalm 91:16 can be prayed as a request for satisfying length of days under God's wisdom.
Exodus 20:12 commands honour for father and mother. Proverbs 31:28 pictures children rising to call their mother blessed. Biblical honour includes respectful speech, gratitude, practical care, listening, and refusing to treat an ageing parent as invisible or burdensome.
